What is NYC's Corporate Social Responsibility Policy?
Our Commitment:
At NYC Translation & Notary Services, our CSR policy is built on the belief that justice and education should be accessible to all. We dedicate a portion of our revenue and professional hours to three key areas: (1) Pro Bono Legal Aid: Providing free notarial and translation services to victims of human trafficking, refugees, and the indigent. (2) Education: Offering language scholarships through NYC+ LANGUAGE SCHOOL to underprivileged youth. (3) Knowledge Sharing: Publishing free, accurate legal guides to combat fraud and misinformation in the visa/legal sector.
- Pro Bono: Free legal services for qualifying vulnerable individuals.
- Education: Scholarships for English/Thai language learning.
- Anti-Fraud: Public awareness campaigns against scam agents.
- Sustainability: Transitioning to paperless operations where legally possible.
Unshakeable Authority: Ethics in Action
Registered Legal Entity: More Than Profit
As a registered company (Reg No: 0435567000061), we recognize our duty to society. Unlike fly-by-night agents who exploit the vulnerable, NYC stands as a pillar of ethical legal practice. We adhere strictly to the Lawyers Council of Thailand's Code of Ethics. Our CSR initiatives are not marketing stunts; they are embedded in our corporate bylaws. We believe that by raising the standard of legal literacy in Thailand, we protect everyoneâexpats and locals alikeâfrom exploitation.

Legal Knowledge Hub: Our CSR Initiatives
Detailing how we give back to the community and protect the integrity of the legal profession.
1. The "Justice Access" Pro Bono Program
Legal fees can be a barrier to justice. NYC runs a "Justice Access" program where we waive professional fees for qualifying individuals. This includes free notarization of affidavits for pension claims for elderly indigents, and free certified translation of medical documents for urgent overseas treatment. Eligibility is assessed based on financial need and the urgency of the situation.
2. Educational Scholarships (NYC+ Language School)
Language is power. Through our associated Language School, we offer full scholarships for English and Thai courses to high-potential students from low-income families. We believe that fluency in English opens doors to global employment, breaking the cycle of poverty. We also provide "Legal English" workshops for law students to improve the overall quality of future lawyers in Thailand.
3. Combating Fraud & Misinformation
The "Visa Agent" industry is rife with scams. NYC actively combats this by publishing free, authoritative guides (like this website) on the correct legal procedures for Notarization, Legalization, and Visas. We expose common scams (like fake stamps or "guaranteed" visas) to protect the public. We provide free verification services for anyone unsure if a document they received from another agent is genuine.
4. Support for Vulnerable Groups
We partner with local foundations to identify individuals in crisis. This includes stateless persons needing documentation to attend school, or victims of trafficking needing affidavits to return home. We prioritize these cases, ensuring they skip the queue and receive immediate attention from our senior staff.
5. Environmental Sustainability
The legal industry consumes vast amounts of paper. NYC is committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We have implemented a digital-first archiving system. We advocate for the acceptance of e-signatures and digital documents with government bodies where possible. In our offices, we enforce strict recycling and energy-saving protocols.
6. Internship & Mentorship
We provide paid internships to law students from regional universities. We focus on practical skillsâdrafting, client interaction, and ethicsâthat are often missing from academic curriculums. Our goal is to train the next generation of ethical lawyers who value integrity over quick profits.
7. Community Law Clinics
Twice a year, our team travels to rural districts (like in Isan or the North) to hold "Mobile Law Clinics." We offer free advice on land disputes, debt management, and inheritance. Many villagers do not know their rights; we empower them with knowledge.
8. Ethical Business Standards
CSR starts at home. We ensure fair wages and full benefits for all our staff, from cleaners to senior partners. We promote a healthy work-life balance and zero tolerance for harassment. We believe a happy, secure team provides the best service to our clients.
9. Disaster Relief
When natural disasters strike (like floods), NYC mobilizes resources. We donate direct funds and supplies to affected areas. More importantly, we offer free replacement services for legal documents (deeds, ID copies) lost in the disaster, helping victims rebuild their lives faster.
10. Transparency in Pricing
A key part of our social responsibility is honesty. We publish our rates. We do not exploit desperate clients with hidden fees or "tea money" bribes to officials. By maintaining transparent, fixed pricing, we set a standard for the industry and protect consumers from extortion.
WARNING: The Cost of Unethical Agents
Choosing a service provider without ethical standards harms everyone.
- Exploitation: Unlicensed agents often prey on those in distress, charging extortionate fees for simple services or holding passports hostage.
- Bribery: Agents who promise "guaranteed" results often pay bribes. This fuels corruption and puts YOU at risk of legal action for bribery. NYC has a zero-tolerance policy on corruption.
- No Recourse: When things go wrong with an unethical agent, they vanish. Supporting ethical businesses ensures that there is a sustainable, accountable legal infrastructure for everyone.
Support integrity. Choose NYC+ Lawyers.
