⥠Quick Summary: What is Legalization Service in Thailand?
- â Definition: Since Thailand is not yet a fully active member of the Apostille Convention, documents must go through a "Legalization" process to be valid abroad.
- â The Process: It involves certification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Thailand, followed by the Embassy of the destination country.
- â Our Role: NYC Legal provides a complete "One-Stop Service." We handle translation, Notary Public certification, MFA submission, and Embassy attestation on your behalf.
Officially Registered Legal Entity in Thailand
Our Team of Licensed Notarial Services Attorneys
Our Core Legalization Services
We specialize in navigating the complex bureaucracy of Thailand to ensure your documents are accepted worldwide.
1. Certified Translation
Documents must be translated into English (or the destination language) before legalization. Our translators are experts in legal terminology and MFA requirements.
2. Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA)
We submit your documents to the Consular Department at Chaeng Watthana. We handle the queue, payments, and corrections if needed.
3. Embassy Legalization
After MFA, we take your documents to the relevant Embassy in Bangkok (e.g., China, Vietnam, UAE, Qatar) for the final stamp.
4. Notary Public Services
For private documents or when specific countries require it, our licensed attorneys provide Notarial Services Attorney signatures.
Step-by-Step: How It Works
- Consultation: Send us a scan of your documents via Line (@NYCLI) or Email. We will assess the requirements.
- Quotation: We provide a transparent quote covering translation, service fees, and government fees.
- Execution:
- Step A: Translation by certified linguists.
- Step B: Legalization at the MFA (Thai Consular).
- Step C: Legalization at the foreign Embassy (if required).
- Delivery: We ship the completed documents back to you via EMS/DHL, anywhere in the world.
Thailand & The Apostille Convention
A common question is: "Can I get an Apostille in Thailand?"
The Reality: As of 2025, Thailand is not fully utilizing the Apostille system for all outgoing documents. Therefore, the traditional Legalization process (MFA + Embassy) remains the standard for most countries.
However, if you have an Apostille document from abroad to use in Thailand, it must often be authenticated by the Thai Embassy in that origin country before being accepted here.
