Document and process playbooks for every service

Each playbook lists what you actually need to prepare: the documents with their conditions, the steps in the correct order, approximate turnaround, the mistakes that get files rejected, and the official sources behind each rule. Use it to plan the case yourself, or hand the whole file to our team.

  • Certified Document Translation

A certified translation starts with a legible original, then a spelling lock against the passport, translation by a named translator who signs the certification, and finally whatever legalisation the receiving party requires, such as the Department of Consular Affairs or an embassy. Turnaround is roughly 1–5 working days depending on page count and queue. Always confirm the recipient's format before filing.

  • Notarial Services Attorney

A Notarial Services Attorney certifies a signature, a true copy or a declared fact in front of a licensed attorney. The signer must appear in person with valid photo identification and must not sign the document beforehand. A straightforward set usually takes about 30–60 minutes, and many recipients then require consular or embassy legalisation on top.

6 documents · 5 steps · approximately 30–60 minutes per set, excluding onward legalisation

  • Apostille and legalisation

Thailand joined the Apostille Convention, so many documents can now be certified for use abroad through an apostille rather than a full embassy chain. The route still depends on the document type and the destination country's own rule. Preparation usually needs an authority-issued original, a certified translation where required, and identification. Expect roughly 3–10 working days end to end.

    6 documents · 5 steps · approximately 3–10 working days

  • Visa applications

A visa file is judged on consistency: identity, purpose of travel, funds and ties must agree across every page. Prepare a valid passport, evidence matching the stated purpose, and financial records covering the period the mission asks for. Preparation typically takes about 5–15 working days before submission, and each mission publishes its own rule, so confirm the current checklist before booking an appointment.

  • Police Clearance Certificate

A Thai Police Clearance Certificate is issued by the Royal Thai Police after identity verification and fingerprinting. Applicants abroad usually take fingerprints at a local police station or Thai mission and send the set to Bangkok. Processing commonly takes several weeks, and most overseas recipients then require a certified translation plus apostille or embassy legalisation.

    6 documents · 5 steps · approximately 2–8 weeks depending on the applicant's location

  • NAATI certified translation

Australian authorities generally accept translations produced by a NAATI-credentialed translator, stamped and signed with the credential number. Send a clear scan of the full document, confirm the spelling against the passport, and state which authority will receive it. Standard sets are commonly returned within about 1–3 working days as a digital certified file, with hard copies posted on request.

    5 documents · 5 steps · approximately 1–3 working days for a standard set

  • Ministry of Justice documents

Court and Ministry of Justice records must normally be requested as certified copies before they can be translated or legalised. Bring identification proving your standing to request the record, together with case references where available. Issue times vary by office, commonly several working days, and overseas use then requires certified translation plus apostille or embassy legalisation.

    5 documents · 5 steps · approximately 5–15 working days including legalisation

  • Marriage registration for foreigners

A foreign national marrying in Thailand normally needs an affirmation of freedom to marry from their embassy, translated into Thai and legalised by the Department of Consular Affairs, before the district office will register the marriage. Both parties attend with identification and, where required, an interpreter. Preparation commonly takes about 3–10 working days before the registration appointment.

    6 documents · 5 steps · approximately 3–10 working days before registration

  • Corporate and licensing

Setting up or licensing a company in Thailand requires a reserved name, an address with proof of use, shareholder and director identification, and objectives matching the intended activity. Registration itself can be quick once papers are correct, but licences such as FDA, alcohol, restaurant or tourism approvals run on their own timetables, commonly several weeks.

6 documents · 5 steps · approximately 1–2 weeks for registration; licences vary

  • Legal documents and contracts

Bilingual contracts, powers of attorney and declarations need a clear governing-language clause, consistent defined terms, and signatures certified in the way the receiving party expects. Prepare identification for every signer, corporate authority documents where a company is a party, and the recipient's format requirements. Preparation is commonly about 3–10 working days.

    5 documents · 5 steps · approximately 3–10 working days

  • Expat services in Thailand

Expat paperwork in Thailand runs on deadlines: address notification for stays past ninety days, visa extensions filed before expiry, re-entry permits before leaving, and TM30 notification by the accommodation. Prepare a valid passport with the current entry stamp, proof of address, and the financial or employment evidence your extension type requires.

5 documents · 5 steps · varies by task; extensions commonly 1–2 working days at the office

  • Sworn translator services

Several European countries only accept translations produced by a translator sworn before their own courts or listed by their embassy. Confirm the accepted translator list and the certificate format before any translation begins, because the wrong certifier usually means the work must be repeated. Preparation is commonly about 3–10 working days including legalisation.
